Private tutor in Glasgow, United Kingdom
Education
MSci (Hons) Physics and Astronomy, University of Glasgow (First Class)
Experience
I have tutoring experience at undergraduate university level, in addition to preparing primary age pupils for Northern Irish 11+ examinations, all of whom went on to achieve success in their exams. My background is in physics, and I have just completed a master's degree in physics and astronomy at the University of Glasgow. I am involved in cutting-edge research through the university, and am now a postgraduate researcher, working towards a PhD later in the year. I have A-level qualifications in physics, mathematics, chemistry, and geology, which reflect my interests in the natural world, and in sciences. Thanks to the variety of subjects which a degree in physics encompasses---physics, astronomy, mathematics, statistics, and computer programming---I am confident and experienced in working with a large number of scientific and mathematical subjects. I'm always keen to help people better understand science, and to find the enjoyment in better understanding the world around us. I also believe that the act of teaching a subject requires someone to think about their subject from a variety of different angles and viewpoints, and this not only helps the pupil, but also the the person teaching them.
