Experience
During my past experiece in teaching, I have focused on tutoring mathematics, Economics and modern Greeks. Alongside with my university studies, I gave private maths lessons to junior and senior high school students.I was responsible for strengthening my students numerical skills and helping them to obtain confidence in the field of maths. My solid grounding in mathematics and statistics meant that parents trusted me to teach their children. My passion for my teaching led me to attend additional pedagogic seminars in order to develop my teaching skills further and my understanding of new learning methods. After my graduation, I was working as an Economics teacher, teaching Economic theory to students of a Private school in Greece. I was preparing students for their participation in final exams and I was responsible for their successful entrance in Greek Business universities. My main responsibilities were to teach and encourage my students to obtain a solid foundation in Economics and to maintain excellent communication and co-operation with their parents. The most difficult part of the job was to inspire students' interest for economics.To achieve this, I introduced videos, pictures, graphs and even acoustic material into my lessons, to capture my students' attention and prepare them for their final exams. What is more, I participated in my municipality movement of teaching modern Greeks to non-Greek citizens and I delivered lessons to people who did not speak Greek. Many students had very little knowledge about modern Greeks. My main responsibility was to teach the Greek language to them and my main goal was to enable them to communicate efficiently. Therefore, I focused on teaching Greek grammar, Greek vocabulary as well ass reading and essays.
